Symptoms of Acid Reflux For Adults and Children

Acid reflux, although not considered fatal in itself, has its toll to one’s quality of life and everyday activities. The symptoms for adult and children who have acid reflux vary. Acid reflux symptoms for adults are as follows:

1. Heartburn. It is a burning sensation located in the stomach or the lower chest that may extend to the neck.

2. Regurgitation. This is the involuntary rise of food to the mouth.

3. Chest pain.

4. Dysphagia. This is the condition where the person is having a hard time swallowing the food.

5. Excessive salivating. This is the body’s response to heartburn.

6. Nausea.

7. Dental erosion, asthma or hoarseness. This is triggered by the acidic juices making its way to the throat, mouth, and the lungs.

8. Sinusitis.

9. Chronic cough.

10. Injury to the esophagus.

On the other hand, acid reflux symptoms for children are as follows:

1. Irritability and pain. Children suffering from discomfort brought by this illness would suddenly scream in their sleep or would simply not stop crying especially if you ask them to lie in their beds.

2. They would usually arch their neck or back when sleeping.

3. Poor sleeping habits.

4. Excessive dripping or runny nose.

5. Frequent burping.

6. Frequent hiccups.

7. Just like adults, they will have a hard time swallowing. At times, they would even gag or choke.

9. Frequent sinus congestion or ear infections.

10. Extreme cases of acid reflux can cause children to have sleep apnea, bronchitis, asthma or pneumonia.

What Will Happen to a Mortgage After Filing Bankruptcy?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

When a debtor files for bankruptcy they often have questions as to what will happen to their mortgage. This will all depend on the type of bankruptcy they file. It will also depend on if they even decide to include the mortgage in their bankruptcy plan.

Many people don’t realize that when filing for bankruptcy they can choose to file without including certain debts, such as a mortgage. As long as the mortgage is up to date and they can continue to make payments, it is possible that the bankruptcy plan can be filed without including their mortgage lender in the bankruptcy plan.

Chapter 7 vs Chapter 13: Know The Differences

Filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy means that all debts are going to be discharged and will be wiped away according to the plan. There will be no further payments to these creditors, and the debtors will be giving up any security they had pledged as a result of the bankruptcy. In the case of a mortgage, this means that unless a plan is worked out with the mortgage lender, or the mortgage is not included in the plan, the debtors are relinquishing their right to the property and the lender will then take over the property.

This is why many debtors will not include the mortgage in the bankruptcy plan and continue to pay on the mortgage. When a mortgage is in arrears, it is not uncommon for a lender to modify the mortgage in a way that the past due payments can be added to the back of the loan so that after the bankruptcy has been discharged future payments will be made on time without the borrower having to make up for their past due arrearages.

When filing a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, a plan is put in place to continue to make payments to any secured creditors. While any unsecured creditors will have to be charged off, secured debts such as mortgages or car payments will become part of the plan. These secured creditors will continue to receive payments after the bankruptcy has been discharged, meaning the debtor will be able to retain the rights to their property as long as they abide by the payment agreement set forth in the bankruptcy petition.

This only affects the mortgage arrears, and not the mortgage itself. By filing a Chapter 13 bankruptcy any past due payments can be included in the plan, or may be modified by the lender to bring the account current so that the payments can continue to occur on a monthly basis in a normal fashion without having to pay extra to make up any past due amount after the bankruptcy has been discharged.

While someone may be able to avoid foreclosure by filing bankruptcy, this will not prevent the lender from beginning foreclosure again should future payments not be made. This is why some people file Chapter 13, as they believe they can continue to make timely payments after being relieved from their other debts, while others file Chapter 7 and give up their rights to their property, as future payments will still be a burden. Being able to make payments after the discharge of a bankruptcy is a key factor in what happens with a mortgage after bankruptcy has been filed.

Handheld Laser Particle Counters Effective For Both Real Time And Sequential Particle Monitoring

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Real Time particle monitoring requires placing a single handheld laser particle counter or a particle sensor at a designated location within the cleanroom. The particle counter sensor counts particles and monitors their events at the specified location in the cleanroom. The particles are monitored in particles per cubic foot or per cubic meter. There are no gaps in the particle counting data, making the Real Time system highly effective at critical locations to properly monitor sensitive processes.

Real Time particle monitoring offers a choice between using a remote particle counter or a stand alone handheld laser particle counter with a built-in vacuum pump. The remote particle counter provides a process vacuum for sampling or a separate pump dedicated to particle counting may be used.

Sequential particle monitoring is also known as a Manifold monitoring system or as Pneumatically Multiplexed Particle Counting. In this system, a single handheld laser particle counter is used to monitor multiple location points. To accomplish this, a sequential manifold sampler must be added to connect the particle counter to the various sampling tubes. These individual tubes are then sampled in a sequential order.

The particle counter stops counting until the tube change is complete and allows any air from the previous sample to be purged. The number of monitoring points determines the frequency of each sample.

Real Time Particle Monitoring Benefits:

* Very effective for monitoring low detection limits

* Excellent for equipment monitoring and preventative maintenance

* Provides continuous detection of all particle events

Sequential Particle Monitoring Benefits:

* Fewer particle counters required to cover a specific area

* Particle counters more easily serviced via central location

* Data collection between particle counters not necessary

Heuchler

Heuchler Amazing CD – Joseph W. Alves – Miramar, Florida
This cd is my favorite Megaherz cd. It takes some time to get used to. It doesn’t have their older sound with a lot of keyboards and stuff, which I like, but it has a different goth sound now, which fits perfect with their goth style album cover.

Nice old school rock sound, brings back sounds of the early 90′s and has a lot of good drum beats.

If you like Megaherz, get this cd, and listen to it until you like it.
Megaherz – The Return – Steve L. – New York
Let me start by saying that I’m a Megaherz fan of 4 years, and I’m going into this review as unbiased as possible.

Megaherz, for anyone who is familiar with them, is a German metal band who has been around since the mid 90s when Alexx was at the helm. Five albums, a demo, several drummers, and two vocalists later we arrive at the newest release “Heuchler.” This time, Lex (who had his own solo project going for awhile) has taken up the vocal duties. As many of you have probably heard or read, Lex has been accused of being a “copy” of the original singer Alexx. Yes, they both shave their heads, and by coincidence they share the same name (more or less), but they are not interchangeable. I will say that Lex seems to have a bit less personality than either Alexx or Mathias (who fronted the album “5″).

So at that, I think that it’s somewhat fair to say that “Heuchler” is lackluster not because of the vocalist changes, but falls more with the musicianship. It’s not that it’s bad, there just isn’t anything overly impressive about the album. Each song seems to have its own base riff, and then repeats it for the duration of the song. Kinda boring if you ask me. It’s all the more disappointing knowing that guitarist X-ti is a phenomenal guitarist capable of amazing solos (see SpiRitual’s “Pulse” album for proof). Drumming has never been a standout part of the Megaherz experience either, so the fact that there is another new drummer who doesn’t deliver anything special isn’t a big surprise.

On the plus side though, the bass (played by Wenz) seems much more prominent on this album than before. Unfortunately, that’s about it for the positives.

So on to the songs. As I hinted at above, due to less than impressive guitar riffs, drumming, and uninspired vocals, there aren’t that many standouts on the album – no joke. In fact, there is only one standout on the album, that being “Fauler Zauber.” The riffs are infectious, and the vocals are exciting. The vocals go from almost a rapping state in the verse to singing in the chorus, kind of reminiscent of “Kopfschuss” and “Wer Bist Du”. I do also enjoy “Ebenbild” and “Heuchler”, but I could care less about everything else.

So, in the end, this certainly isn’t a good album, but it isn’t a bad album either. It just could have been so much more. If more songs had the excitement of “Fauler Zauber” then “Heuchler” would have been a kickass album instead of just mediocre.

Media Lead Generation News

The Following Blog Post is from Associated Content and brought to you by gary bobel

Before I get started I want it to be noted that in order for Facebook to work for you, try to separate accounts. Meaning if you have a Facebook account for friends and relatives, create a separate one strictly for marketing purposes, you do not want your mother blowing kisses and sending hug requests all over your business account would you? Didn't think so.

#1. OK, after you set up your new account and you are sitting back wondering where to start, on the top right of your screen there is a search bar. Facebook tends to pride itself on its groups so do a search on a group (Do not copy my example) for marketing, or secrets for example. Find some of the bigger MLM or Network marketing groups and join one or two of them. After joining, you can then get the list of members and start adding friends, try sending a message to them to let them know you are a real person and have like interests, it's very important that you start some what of a relationship with someone due to the fact that you are targeting them. Keep in mind that adding too many friends a day will get you slapped by Facebook so be very careful not to have a spammy approach and remember that you are making friends not just trying to sell your product. You have to position yourself as the leader not a follower and try helping someone from time to time.

#2. After you have established yourself on Facebook and are starting to build relationships and make new friends and become an active user you will notice that the whole Facebook theme takes and auto-piloted effect and in turn you will see a lot of people sending you requests to be your friend and generally you may feel overwhelmed, so when this happens you have got to remember to work at your own pace and take it slow if you must and even so try to schedule your time within the community so you aren't locked in for several hours a day running in circles. So with that being said, every now and then you will notice people having birthday wishes posted all over, make a video wishing the person a happy birthday. Not everyone will do that trust me. Doing that will make you stand out amongst the masses and believe it or not drive traffic to your site if done correctly. Remember not to be too obvious with your intentions within Facebook, they will pick up on that sort of thing rather quickly.

#3. After building established relationships and successfully started generating leads from Facebook, what else can be done you may be wondering. The last and final tip for you would be, and please only do this with someone you have talked with frequently. Call someone up, usually in the back of everyone's profile there phone number is listed and if you feel the need, give them a call and ask them personally if there is any advice you can give them to improve their business. Remember when I said position yourself as a leader? That's where this comes into play. Let others know that you are the professional and you know the ropes and are willing to help them cut corners to save money.

Lead Generation Features

This Blog Post is from Associated Content and brought to you by gary bobel

It's now been reported that a vast amount of people have been infected with swine flu or H1N1 around the world. The projected infection rate in the coming year is only expected to rise significantly. While it's a cause for concern, there's nothing about H1N1 flu that leads medical experts to think it's acquired in vastly different ways from more common flu. Therefore, keeping things in perspective and using similar protective measures which are effective against other flu strains is in order.

Medical experts tell us it's important not to panic or overact to the point of hysteria. It's something to remember, as more and more people talk about risks of getting H1N1. Though vaccines are on the way, and may ultimately be the most secure way of guaranteeing you or loved ones won't get infected, some basic precautions can be followed which will help before vaccinations can be administered, or in the cases of people who can't be vaccinated.

Avoiding Crowds

This may be impossible for many of us to implement on a daily basis, but if you don't have to be around lots of people in public areas, avoid crowds when you can. When you are in crowds, try to avoid physical contact as much as possible and try not to breathe too closely near others. Some people have resorted to the extremes of wearing surgical masks, and while this may seem a bit overdoing it, for the weak, elderly or more at risk, it's something to consider.

Keep Hands Clean

This is a primary way of decreasing the risk of getting colds or flu. Wash hands frequently, and when you can't get to a sink, use a hand sanitizer. These little bottles of cleanser are basically alcohol in a gel base. Pharmacies like CVS, Duane Reade or Rite Aid sell small bottles for as little as two dollars. They are handy for just keeping your hands clean for personal hygiene in all sorts of situations, but in this predicted swine flu outbreak, these hand sanitizers may just keep you and your family from getting sick.

Public Restrooms

Keeping oneself aware of the dirty dangers of public facilities is good in any time, however with flu season and with H1N1 dangers, it's more important than ever. It's important to keep hands clean and avoid placing your hands in your mouth to eat or after shaking someone's hands. Wash hands thoroughly after using public restrooms, before eating and as another precaution, use hand sanitizers if you have recently touched things in stores or other public places.

Remember, this is common sense and overall hygienic advice. It's not meant to guarantee prevention of any illness, including H1N1 swine flu. However, by keeping oneself away from large public places, ensuring one's hands are clean and avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth after you've been in large public places where chances of exposure are strong, you can help decrease your risk of getting flu – including H1N1.

What Do Mutual Fund Ratings Involve?

Investors who want to restrict or reduce their risk normally select mutual funds. Mutual funds are a diversified group of money market securities, equities or bonds that create returns from more than one source. However, thanks to their diversification, the risk involved is reduced or limited. Mutual fund ratings are used to aid active investors estimate which funds are perfect for them, based on the degree of risk that is involved. Different companies determine the fund rating based on their own criteria.

Morningstar

Morningstar has been rating funds since 1985. They accord one to five stars to several funds and use it as a guidance method for their investors who are looking to enhance their portfolio. The rating system is based on the company’s initial risk score of the fund. They then subtract that score from the five year return of the fund and arrive at a rating that is risk adjusted. The problem here is that the rating system is based on past performance and has little value in determining the actual risk factor of the fund. This is probably not the most reliable source of determining future risk of your funds.

Lipper, Inc.

Older than Morningstar by almost 15 years, Lipper has been providing analysis for investors since 1971. Based on performance risk, each fund is assigned a rating based on the chances of an investor losing their money. The higher the rating, the better the odds of losing money. This 5 star rating system also factors in five different criteria (tax efficiency, expense, and total return, consistent return and preservation) which helps to determine the real risk of the fund.

Business Week

Subscribers of the Business Week magazine are treated annually to the Mutual Fund Scoreboard, which rates funds on several criteria. Looking for something more current? Check out their website where you can find the results updated monthly. The funds earn their rating by their scoring in different areas, but get their overall rating by how well they have performed over a 5 year period, based on a risk adjusted return. Each fund is then assigned a grade score from A to F. Its the A rated funds that you should consider for your portfolio.

Schwab Mutual Fund OneSource Select List

Schwab’s experts have created a list of pre-screened, no load, no transaction fee funds. This list is updated quarterly and utilizes a list of strict criteria to arrive at the ratings. These criteria include a minimum three year performance track record and have a minimum of $40 million in assets (in most cases). The funds that make the list are rated on risk, performance, diversification and other factors.

As a smart investor, you shouldn’t rely on just one fund rating system. Instead, consider using several different systems to determine the best one for you. Past performance is helpful in establishing how well the fund has performed compared to the major indexes, but is useless unless used in conjunction with other variables. Assess the risks, get a picture of the strength of the fund, specifically the mutual fund manager. While a high mutual fund rating may guide you in the right direction, its by no means a sure bet. Do your due diligence.

The Truth Behind Easter According to the Bible

Image : http://www.flickr.com

For Christians, or those simply wishing to study the Christian origins of Easter, the Bible gives the following information-

During the Easter season, (especially on Good Friday), Christians focus on the passion of Jesus Christ. This is the phrase used to describe his suffering and death on the cross. Here is a breakdown of the significant events recorded in Scripture, including the events just before and immediately following the Crucifixion. It is these events that comprise the Christian view of Easter. It is important to keep in mind that many of the actual times of these events are not recorded in Scripture. This timeline represents an approximate sequence of events, and can be referred to in the referenced scriptural passages.

  • The Last Supper-Jesus has a last supper with his disciples. He explains that he is leaving them, but they fail to understand the significance of his words. (Matthew 26:20-30; Mark 14:17-26; Luke 22:14-38; John 13:21-30)
  • Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane-Jesus prays alone, while a few of his closest disciples stand watch. It is at this point Christians believe that he atoned for the sins of the world, and bled from every pore. (Matthew 26:36-46; Mark 14:32-42; Luke 22:39-45)
  • Jesus is Betrayed and Arrested-It was at this time that Jesus is betrayed by Judas Iscariot and is arrested. (Matthew 26:47-56; Mark 14:43-52; Luke 22:47-53; John 18:1-11)
  • The Religious Leaders Condemn Jesus-At this point in the timeline, the ruling religious leaders condemn Jesus. He is first sent to stand trial before Pilate, then Herod, and then back to Pilate, where he is sentenced to death. (Matthew 27:1-2; Mark 15:1; Luke 22:66-71; Matthew 27:11-14; Mark 15:2-5; Luke 23:1-5; John 18:28-37; Luke 23:6-12; Luke 23:11; Matthew 27:26; Mark 15:15; Luke 23:23-24; John 19:16)
  • Jesus is Led Away to Calvary-Jesus is taken to Calvary, to a place known as Golgotha, where he is to be crucified. (Matthew 27:32-34; Mark 15:21-24; Luke 23:26-31; John 19:16-17)
  • Jesus is Crucified-Scriptures record that he was crucified in the third hour, which in Jewish time, would have been about 9 a.m. While on the cross, Jesus is reported to have asked for forgiveness for those around him. In addition, soldiers cast lots for his clothing while a crowd mocks and taunts him. (Luke 23:34; Mark 15:24; Matthew 27:39-40; Mark 15:31; Luke 23:36-37; Luke 23:39; Luke 23:40-43)
  • Jesus Speaks to Mary and John-A significant event is recorded in the Bible, as Jesus is reported to have spoken to his mother, and the disciple he loved, by saying they are now family. After this John takes Mary into his home. (John 19:26-27)
  • Jesus cries out to the Father-At hour six, Jesus is reported to have cried out to the Father. He is given vinegar to drink, and then declares, “It is finished”. He commends his spirit into the hands of God. (Matthew 27:46; John 19:28-29; Luke 23:46)
  • Jesus is Laid in the Tomb-Jesus is laid in the tomb of a friend. Scriptures record that this was done hastily, as the Jewish Sabbath was approaching, and one could not be dealing with these matters on a Sabbath day. The rock was rolled over the entrance, to guard the body. (Matthew 27:57-61; Mark 15:42-47; Luke 23:50-56; John 19:38-42)
  • Jesus Rises from the Dead-The scriptures record that Mary Magdalene comes to the tomb to dress the deceased body of Christ. She finds the tomb empty, and then converses with the resurrected Christ, who urges her to tell others of what she has seen. This resurrection is the key point of the Easter celebration for Christians who believe Jesus Christ arose and lives again. (Matthew 28:1-7; Mark 16:1; Luke 24:1-12; John 20:1-9)
